Our first room was in the Bamboo Grove. The room itself was pretty nice. It was just a short walk to the beach and the main hotel.

We had a few problems with the electricity in our room, probably because they were doing construction in the next building over. The third time that our electrical outlets quit working, we asked to be moved to another room. When they moved us, the view from our room changed considerably (see pictures below), although the room itself was about the same. All in all, I'm pretty glad we had the electrical problems!

Our room was close to the middle of the photo, two levels above the patio with the big umbrellas. Most of the restaurants and bars were located in the main hotel building, so it was a lot more convenient to be right upstairs.
