Most of the activities at the resort were included in the package price. However, they had other activities available, like tours of Ocho Rios, tours of a plantation nearby, shopping trips, and biking trips. The one extra thing we chose to do was go deep sea fishing.

We signed up to go fishing on Wednesday of the week that we were there. When we woke up Wednesday morning, we noticed that the water was rougher than it had been the whole time we were there, and it was raining. It worked out that we were able to skip going without losing our money, so we waited until Friday, which was a much nicer day. We later found out we'd made a wise choice -- 4 of the 6 people on the boat on Wednesday got sick during the fishing trip.

We watched Michael hook up all the fishing lines. He also changed the lures as we went from shallower water to deeper water, and vice versa. There wasn't really much involved in fishing, other than sitting in the boat and waiting for a fish to bite.

The only fish that was caught

During the four-hour fishing trip, there was only one fish that took the bait. This guy was in the right place at the right time, so he got to reel in the fish.
