Brad with the videocamera
After we checked into the hotel, we walked around the resort to explore a little.
This is the view from the main building, near the ocean. It was nice and sunny our
first day there.

Me at the beachfront bar
They had a welcoming party at 6:00 our first day there. They had a table
of Jamaican foods and fruits to try. They also had a Jamaican fruit punch, and
another drink made with Guiness. The pictures below are from the
welcoming party.
Me with a coconut drink
They had a guy (see the photo below) who was chopping the tops off
of coconuts with a huge knife. Then he'd give you a straw to drink
the coconut water inside. We noticed that they had coconut water
for sale several places where we went.
You can't really tell from this photo,
but the knife this guy was using to cut the coconuts
was huge.
We saw this band all over the place during the week.
They played Carribean music.
This is an example of the fruit decorations
that they had on the tables.
They had similar decorations on the buffet tables
at lunch and dinner.
Later that night, they had a beach party. There was a dinner buffet set up
on the beach, and a group of musicians was playing calypso music on steel drums.
At one point, they started doing the limbo using a drumstick as a limbo bar. We watched
one guy put a beer on his head and limbo under the drumstick, without spilling
a drop! He must've had a lot of practice to be able to pull that off.
