Hanauma Bay, Oahu

In Sept/Oct, Lisa and I used up some of our frequent flier miles and traveled to Hawaii.  We first arrived on the island of Oahu and stayed there a few days.  We then flew to the island of Kauai for a few days.  After Kauai, we returned to Oahu for a few days before our wonderful vacation came to an end.

We had a wonderful vacation.  If you haven't been to Hawaii, you need to go! Above is Hanauma Bay, a cool little place on Oahu to swim and snorkel.  You can see all the reefs in the water so there are lots of fish to check out.

USS Arizona

If on Oahu, you have to visit Pearl Harbor and pay respects to the USS Arizona.

From the air, you can see the outlines of the ship.

Some parts of the ship stick out of the water

oil drips in the water

Oil is still leaking from the ship into the water.

USS Missouri

This ship wasn't here the last time I was in Hawaii.  This is the battleship where the Japanese surrendered World War II.  We took a tour of the battleship.
