As I already mentioned on the main page, Lisa and I have already
visited Austria.
This is our second time. Luckily Austria is a very interesting
country and we found many new things to check out.
Here are Brad and Lisa posing in front of the Schoenbrunn Palace
This place is real old and somewhat famous (so they say). We had
lunch in this room. Check
out all the signatures on the ceiling. The signatures make the
place a
historical landmark. The place is The Greek Inn, although the
food was Austrian. We had weinerschitzel for lunch. The
restaurant is in the formerly Greek part of town.
If these signatures are legit, it's a pretty impressive
collection. I found two in this photo -- Mark Twain and Johnny
Cash. There were several
other famous ones, but I don't remember the others.
Here we are in a small town about to take a cruise down the Danube
River. This cool little town is Durnstein.
Lisa was quite amused by this sign for some reason??? :-)
This is our cruise ship as it approaches to pick us up for our cruise
up
the river. It was a two hour cruise up the river to Melk.
Ah, isn't that lovely!
These are the ruins of the castle where Richard the Lionhearted was
kept
imprisoned in 1192.
Check out that place way up on the hill. I bet they have/had a
great view!
