SWITZERLAND

We thought Switzerland was so beautiful.  It had such natural beauty!  The Swiss Alps were fantastic.  We stayed a couple nights in Lucerne.  The one and only cold day we had was when we first stopped in Switzerland.  Brrr.  Then I caught the bus cold, so I was sick in Switzerland.  Someone brought it on the bus.  I think I was the second or third person to catch it.  However, I think everyone got it by the time the trip ended.  It was raining when we first arrived in Lucerne.  We were supposed to go up the mountain that day, but decided to wait until the next day.  That was a good choice because the weather cleared up and was fantastic!!

These three pictures are of the Rhine Falls in Switzerland (notice the red flag with white cross in the top picture).  This was the only cold day on our trip.  I believe this is also where I first got my cold.  It was a lot of fun trying to find cold medicine when I couldn't speak the language.

Welcome to Lucerne, where the land is beautiful, they have fantastic tall mountains, and where the cows are really hairy.

These cows were so funny.  I have never seen a hippie cow before.

Phew, I am tired and don't feel so well.  We hiked up this hill to see the Old City Wall.  This is where we found the silly hairy cows.  By the way, watch out for that wire fence behind me.  Its ELECTRIFIED.  Bet you can't guess how I figured that one out  :-)
 

This is the Old City Wall that I was referring too.  We hiked up the inside of it to the top.  Not the easiest chore while having a cold.  Great view though.
