Grand' Place was pretty cool. Its a neat area.
Lisa and I were anxious to get down to business
and try the famous Belgian chocolates. Our tour
guide said the best place (and her favorite)
is Godivas. We laughed as we have those in the
US. We decided to walk down
some of the streets and try some of the local truffles.
WOW, they were good.
I think we found the chocolates somewhere down this street. Lisa and I went out every night to sample the local fare - chocolates, beer, food, etc. YUM!
Hey, there's Lisa again. Unfortunately, the camera doesn't always do justice. Notice the building doesn't fit in the image. Plus, some of the breathtaking things just seem nice in the photos.
The rest of the building.
Near the Grand' Place is a famous little statue. It was pretty funny, so I will include two pictures of it :-)
Hey, what's that little feller doing behind Lisa?
How amusing. A statue called Mannekin Pis. Its a little boy taking a constant wiz.
We drove by the Palace, but did not stop. I thought
it looked nice, so that
night, Lisa and I went for a long stroll to find it.
It started to rain before we got back, so we got a little wet. But,
the mission was accomplished and we found it.
Once again, must be nice to have your own palace. This is the Royal Palace.
Well, that about does it for Belgium. Head back to the main page, and pick a new country. Don't give up now, we are just getting started. Wait, wait, before you go, check out the kid wizzing again. :-)
Ok, had enough of a laugh, go back and pick another country now:
