Click here to see more of AlbertaWell, Lisa abandoned me this summer (2003) so I had to go on vacation by myself. Lisa's sister had a baby and Lisa decided to go visit them instead of joining me on my little trip. Uh huh, I see how I rate :-)
I had a really great trip. My Dad and Mary Ellen are traveling across the country in their motor home. We arranged to all end up at my Aunt and Uncle's ranch up in Alberta, Canada. I had a fantastic time and saw some spectacular scenery. I had a blast doing a lot of fishing as well. I hadn't been fishing with dear ol' Dad in many years. I also had some really late nights playing dominos with Mary Ellen and my aunt. We also had fantastic weather. I actually got royally sunburned at Police Lake. Go figure, I head up to the great north and then get burned. Yup, all in all it was a great trip. I am just sorry Lisa wasn't there because I think she would have enjoyed it also. I am glad she got to have a nice visit with her sister though.
The first place we went fishing is to Police Lake in Alberta. Most of my cousins came out to join us. I was happy to see them all again as I hadn't seen many of them in years and years. Time sure flies. Here are some photos from Police lake.
Police Lake
That's Dad fishing off the dock. Dad had a habit of showing off and catching more fish than everyone else. That's my cousin in the strange floating contraption in the background. He is a die-hard fisherman. All the fishing I did on this trip was for trout. We were catching rainbow trout out of this lake. We were very successful, too, and caught a whole lot of fish.
It's just like I told you, there he goes catching another one.
That's a good looking Rainbow Trout!
That's my cousins and family on the boat.
Now those look like some serious fishermen! That's Dad in between my two cousins. I am obviously in the front of the boat. I think we must have been pushing the weight limit of that little boat :-)
These are Mary Ellen's little dogs Mindy and Hannah keeping an eye on the camp site.
This is just a cool shot of this mountain.
