We rented
a 4x4 in Anchorage and went for a drive. We went for a long walk
to check out some waterfalls outside Anchorage.
This was
the falls. It was a pretty good view. We were pretty high up
looking down into a canyon, but you can't really tell from the pictures.
On the way
to Anchorage from Seward, we stopped by Portage Lake, near Portage Glacier.
These are chunks of ice that fell off the glacier. The sun was
shining and its refreshing to see color in some pictures.
You can't actually see Portage Glacier in this photo as I thought the ice
chunk pictures were more scenic.
We went
for a really long drive. It took hours to get here, but the drive
was fantastic. That part of Alaska was going through their fall and
the colors were beautiful - green, red, yellow, etc.
