For the last year or so, Brad has been talking about going on a hot air balloon ride. Now that winter is finally over and we have some nice weather, he started checking into it. Last weekend, we went on a hot air balloon ride in Charlottesville, VA, which is about two hours from home.

Brad and I just got home from a short but fun trip to Iceland. Every year, Iceland Air has a pretty good deal on packages that include round trip airfare and several nights at a hotel, and we were finally able to arrange to take advantage of it.

We finally decided to move the webpages someplace besides AOL -- to a little place online called ljugel.net! I've been working on cleaning them up a little as I'm moving them, so they are still under revision. We added some new photos from our recent trips to Bermuda and Key West.

I think we're finally done with our Africa vacation photos. We're hoping to add a few more, like the group photo that one person from our group took at the Cape of Good Hope. But there are already more than enough photos here to give you a good idea of what we did and what we saw during our two and a half weeks in southern Africa!

It's been about four years since I've made any significant changes to the webpages. I figured it was about time to do a little reorganizing! I replaced the link to the Europe pages with a link to a new front page for all of our vacation photos. I also added some pages of cabin photos. I had no idea how much work the cabin pages would be, since we have a year and a half's worth of photos to go through, so there's an initial set out there now -- with more to come soon!

Earlier this month, Brad and I took a vacation to Hawaii. Brad had been there once before, but this was my first trip there. We visited two islands, Oahu and Kauai.
Brad also put a few of the best pictures from Mt. Saint Helens on a webpage. We stopped there in May 2005 on our way from Vancouver to Oregon, when we were visiting Brad's mom and my sister and her family.

Now that we've been back from our wonderful three-week trip to Europe for a little while, Brad has had time to put together the latest set of vacation webpages. We went to ten different countries, only two of which we had visited before. They included Hungary, Austria, and the Czech Republic, which we visited on a six-day land tour. After the land tour, we flew to Copenhagen for a cruise that went to Sweden, Russia, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Finland, then ended up back in Denmark.

Brad's sister Launa got married in San Diego in July of 2001. The weather was beautiful, the reception site was beautiful, and of course the bride was beautiful! Brad put together a few pages of photos from her wedding.

Brad and I took a trip to Europe in May of 2001. We went to 10 different countries in three weeks. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think I'd vote for either Switzerland or England. Brad put together a few webpages with photos from each of the countries.

OK, so I've been really lazy about updating my pages during the past year. However, I'm finally starting to get caught up. Here's the first big update:
Brad and I got married less than a month ago, on May 27th. We had a small but wonderful wedding here in Virginia, then went to Jamaica for our honeymoon. I've posted some of the wedding photographs, and the honeymoon photos will follow soon.
