SNOW TUBING

I bet you didn't expect me to include a page with snow and Arizona in the same sentence.  I don't think a lot of people realize Arizona is not just desert.  There are mountains and snow and so much more.  I was kind of surprised when I realized that I don't think I have any pictures of us snow skiing.  That's funny as we used to go all the time.  I think in AZ, we always went to Sunrise or Snowbowl.  I went to Colorado once and went to Purgatory.  A bunch of us went skiing on the July 4th weekend up in Canada at Blackcomb/Whistler.  Now I have been skiing many times out east with my friend Aaron.  I hadn't been in years, but he got me going again.  In addition to the usual snow skiing, sometimes its fun to get a bunch of friends together and go snow tubing!




Here we are, ready to climb the mountain and tube back down.  That's Chad standing on the bench.  That's Becky just to his left.  I can't tell who is next to her.  I think that's Christy in front of her. To Christy's left is Matt (I think that was his name?), and then me.  I can't remember who that other guy is on the far right.  Darren is there too, but he must be taking the picture.  I have a great group photo of everyone somewhere, but I haven't come across it yet.

I knew there was a group photo somewhere and I just found it.  I even wrote on the back of it.  This took place in the winter of 1988/89.  From left to right are:  Harold's brother, Me (Brad, behind Matt), Matt, Darren, Christy, Chad, Becky, and Harold.


Anyone up for a big hike? How about the Grand Canyon?
