Allison in the Bonsai Museum
Allison and I went to the National Arboretum to check out a few of the many sights there. The National Bonsai and Penjing Museum is located there. I'd heard of bonsai trees, but before I visited this museum, I didn't realize how different they could look. Their collection ranges not only in appearance, but also in age: the trees were from about five years to over 300 years old.

Me near the Capitol columns
The columns in the photo above used to support a dome at the U.S. Capitol Building. When the columns were replaced, they found a home at the Arboretum.
