In October, Brad and I drove to Shenandoah National Park to go hiking. We drove to a trail called the Little Devil Stairs Circuit hike. The first two miles of the five-and-a-half mile hike are practically straight up a steep hill. In the picture below, Brad is taking a break on the way up...

The downhill part of the hike is much easier. It gradually descends to where we started. It took us most of the walk down to recover from the hike up!
