Me at Dumbarton Oaks

Dumbarton Oaks is a 19th-century mansion in Georgetown. There are 10 acres of formal gardens behind the mansion. There are numerous terraces, fountains, and pools throughout the gardens. The picture above was taken on one of the terraces. The picture below was taken in another part of the gardens.

Back view of the house

This is the back view of the house, coming up from the gardens. The steps in the picture are not visible from the top of the hill; instead, it looks like an open, sloping grassy area.

A couple of wings of the house are art galleries. The galleries contain Columbian and pre-Byzantine art, as well as rare books.
